Please note that at present only routine appointments can be booked at Queen Mary's or Erith Hospitals.

All urgent requests should be submitted by letter, fax or telephone (for extremely urgent referrals). Low back pain referrals should be made using the proforma which can be downloaded from the "Information for GPs" page; we anticipate adding the triage clinic to "Choose and Book" in the near future.

Some conditions may be appropriately referred to more than one department (for example, OA knee and carpal tunnel syndrome are seen both in rheumatology and orthopaedic clinics). However once you have chosen by keyword you cannot, through the system, be connected to both choices. You should therefore decide first whether you wish the referral to be medical or surgical.
